Dial 999 immediately if anyone is injured. Ensure everyone is safe and then, if possible, switch on your hazard lights and set up your car’s warning triangles to warn other road users.
However small the incident, you must swap full details with the relevant parties. If anyone’s injured, if the road is blocked or if somebody refuses to give insurance details you must report what has happened to the police.
Always record as much relevant information you can about the accident (for example, take photos). If it helps, you can use the area on the right to do this.
When you've completed all the above, simply call us and our fully trained experts will advise you on what to do next.
