Toyota Winter Tyres

Stay safe this winter with winter tyres from SLM Toyota

Colder weather is approaching and with many experts predicting another harsh winter, driving conditions could start to become more treacherous. So now is the time to bring your Toyota in for a set of winter tyres.

These specially adapted tyres don’t just help during snowy weather, they manage to provide improved performance compared to standard tyres below 7°, so you’ll be able to see the benefits sooner than you thought.

Winter tyre benefits include:

  • Better grip and stopping performance
  • Increased performance at temperatures below 7°C
  • A high proportion of natural rubber allows them to remain pliable at low temperatures. This means they can 'key' into the road surface giving the increased grip
  • A unique tread pattern that displaces water and slush efficiently. This reduces aquaplaning
  • Small grooves (sipes) in the tread block offer more biting surfaces for road contact
  • They can last as long as summer tyres
  • Because you're using winter tyres in the colder months, your standard tyres will last longer, meaning you won't have to change them as often
