Owners of the AYGO were also impressed with its cheap servicing bills, superb fuel economy and low insurance premiums, reporting fewer engine and transmission faults than on any other city car.
Overall Toyota was also unmatched by any other manufacturer in the Ownership Costs section of the survey, which covers issues such as fuel consumption, insurance and the cost of servicing and repairs. This an area that will continue to go from strength to strength as the efficiency benefits of Toyota Optimal Drive technologies - a key feature of all new models over the past 18 months - come into play.
The message from the results of this year's Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study is that Toyota has reinforced its position as one of Britain's top manufacturers when it comes to making cars that are big on quality, owner appeal and value for money.
