SLM Toyota are excited to announce that the Toyota Fund For A Better Tomorrow recently gifted them with a cheque for £1,950 to donate to local Glyne Gap School to help with the improvement of their Wild Garden Project.
Head teacher, Kirsty Prawanna of the Glyne Gap School was more than thrilled to greet part of the Hastings team in person to accept the Toyota Fund For A Better Tomorrow donation. Pictured is Jason Barlow handing over the cheque to Kirsty and school attendees Alfie and Liam.
It was expressed by members of the staff that the money given will help to provide them with everything they need to equip the outdoor area in a way that will greatly improve the pupils’ learning progress, including improved wheelchair access.
Along with being formed as an external space that can be utilized as a classroom for teachers to hold lessons on uncommon subject points like the “Natural Habitat”, “Mini Beasts” and further worthwhile environmental topics, circle-time, storytelling, music and theatre sessions are also scheduled in. The students are additionally encouraged to make friends through the familiar playtime in this combined education and leisure zone. ‘Family Days’, where the children and their relations spend a few hours together on the grounds, will also be arranged to happen each half term on a Saturday.
SLM Toyota is extremely privileged to have been given the opportunity from Toyota to give something back to the local community. Everyone at the dealership hopes the school and children enjoy many happy years in their new outside space!
